Who we are, what we believe, and our mission to the nations.
South Rift Evangelistic Team (SORET) is a body of evangelizing Christians bound together by a common faith in the only God and joined together by a common obedience to the great commission of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ to "Go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19).
The team seeks to reach out and make Christ known to all the people within the South of Rift Valley and the regions beyond.
SORET declares that it shall be non-political and non-denominational and further declares that no provision herein shall or will be construed as to qualify, defeat or in any other manner contravene the Holy Scriptures of the Bible.
We, the SORET Ministry;
The aims of SORET as set out in our constitution.
To obey, reach out, evangelize, and fulfill the great commission of our Savior Jesus Christ to all the people within South Rift Valley and regions beyond, according to Matthew 28:19-20.
To nurture the spiritual life of its members and new converts through fellowships, Christian events, retreats, and local churches.
To make contacts with other Christian Organizations for fellowship and evangelistic activities.
To provide interdenominational fellowship, mentorship, growth and support and interaction platform for pastor's children and their parents' ministry work.
To solicit and provide capacity building opportunities, support and/or project implementation for community development amongst the communities reached.
To contribute to publications, such as journals and monographs that write on Christian faith and fellowship and societal issues.
To initiate and run enterprises that will support the general running and plans of the Team.
To participate in safeguarding policy and decision-making on matters relating to Christianity.
To partner with Churches, Faith Based Organizations (FBOs) and other organizations with goals of helping out the communities and different groups within the society.
The fundamental truths of Christianity upon which SORET stands.
The oneness of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead.
The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption, and final judgment.
The divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of the Holy Scriptures as originally given by God and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
The universal sinfulness and guilt of all men since the fall rendering them subject to God's wrath and condemnation.
Redemption from guilt, penalty, dominion, and pollution of sin, solely through the sacrificial death (as our representative and substitute) of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God.
The bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and His ascension to the right hand of God the Father.
The presence and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration.
The justification of the sinner by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
The indwelling and work of the Holy Spirit in every believer.
The Holy universal church is the body of Christ unto which all true believers belong.
The expectation of the return, in person, of the Lord Jesus Christ.
SORET shall be affiliated to Kenya Students Christian Fellowship (KSCF).
Every SORET Chapter shall be affiliated to their respective Christian Union.
