  • Categories: Student Members, Associate Members, Special Membership.
  • Termination: By resignation (30 days' notice), death, or expulsion by General Meeting (two-thirds majority).
  • Grounds for Suspension: Voluntary resignation, joining another denomination contrary to faith, continuous absence (1 year), proven immoral conduct, doctrinal deviation, open defiance of governance.
  • Dispute Resolution: Internal reconciliation → Chapter/Regional Committee (5+ members) → Appeal to NASEC (final).
  • Fair Hearing: Right to be present, produce evidence, present witnesses; committee must document proceedings.
  • Members' Rights: Vote, hold office, attend general meetings, propose amendments, participate in activities. Full details →
  • NASEC: 12 office bearers — the main policy and administrative organ. Full details →
  • Regional Executive Committee (REC): Chairman, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Praise & Worship, Prayer Coordinator. Full details →
  • Chapters: Smallest functional unit; officials elected by members. Full details →
  • Advisory Council: Convener + 3–6 associate members; appointed by NASEC, confirmed by AGM. Full details →
  • The Patron: Appointed by NASEC, confirmed by AGM; convener of Advisory Council.
  • AGM: Held annually; not more than 15 months between meetings; 28 days' written notice.
  • SGM: Called by NASEC for specific purposes; 7 days' notice; or requisitioned by half of members (held within 21 days).
  • Quorum: Not less than one-third of total registered members.
  • NASEC Elections: Every 2 years by secret ballot at AGM. Conducted by Nominations and Elections Committee (NEC).
  • NEC: Must have served in NASEC or regional leadership for at least one full term; no more than 2/3 same gender.
  • By-Elections: Triggered by vote of no confidence (2/3 majority), inability to perform duties, or written resignation.
  • Chapters contribute 10% of annual collections to national treasury.
  • SORET may accept financial or other aid from non-members.
  • Funds deposited in an approved financial institution in the name of SORET.
  • No payment without NASEC resolution; signatories: Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer.
  • Financial year: one calendar year.
  • Auditor: Appointed by NASEC, approved by AGM; accounts open for inspection before AGM.
  • Affiliation: SORET affiliated to KSCF; chapters affiliated to respective Christian Unions.
  • Instruments: Lent on agreed terms by NASEC; used mainly for SORET activities.
  • Constitutional Amendments: 21 days' notice to secretary; Advisory Council opinion sought; passed by 3/4 of registered members present at General Meeting; registrar consent required.
  • Inspection: Books of accounts and member lists available for inspection with 7 days' written notice to NASEC secretary.
  • Dissolution: By 3/4 vote at General Meeting; requires Registrar of Societies permission; KSCF notified; remaining assets distributed to Christian organizations.
